Season: 2025-26

Delovia Ford

High School: Freeport

Years with Inferno: Rookie

Last season, around November, D-Ford contact Coach Lollino about playing for the Inferno. At the time, all spots were taken and Coach Lo referred D-Ford to his friend, Fred Harris who had just started up the Midwest Monstarz. Ford was the top player on the Monstarz, scoring 40 points against the Inferno. The Monstarz went winless and essentially withdrew from the ABA. The rest is history, and this crafty shooting guard now flames it up for the Inferno.

Montrell Dixson

High School: Freeport

College: Neosho County Community College

Years with Inferno: Rookie

Montrell is one of two players to join Inferno program who hails from the Freeport, Illinois area (the other is Delovia Ford). After prepping at Freeport High School and spending some minimal time in the Junior College system, he was quickly called up overseas. While playing in Switzerland, Dixson averaged 19 ppg, 12 rpg, 3 apg and 4 blocks per game. Lollino describes Montrell as one of the most talented big man players he’s ever seen and expects him back overseas by Christmas.

Michael McKay

Michael McKay is a dedicated basketball professional whose journey through the game spans decades of impact as both a high-level player and an insightful coach. With a foundation built on discipline, leadership, and skill development, McKay has consistently demonstrated a passion for growing the game and mentoring players at every level.

Playing Career

Michael’s basketball journey began at Lane Tech High School, where he made an immediate impact as a standout scorer, averaging 18 points per game. His performance earned him All-Conference, All-City, and Illinois State Special Mention honors, marking him as one of the top talents in the state.

Continuing his rise, McKay played at Triton College, where he averaged 20 points per game and helped lead the team to the Junior College Final Four in 1997. His offensive efficiency and leadership were key assets to the program's success on the national stage.

He later transferred to Mount Senario College in Wisconsin, averaging 17 points per game and earning All-Conference honors in 1999. His all-around play and basketball IQ set the tone for his transition into coaching.

Coaching Career

Michael began his coaching journey as an Assistant / Shooting Coach at Triton College in 1997. Even in this early role, he was recognized as a positive role model, known for promoting sportsmanship and developing training strategies that elevated team performance.

In 2000, he took on a similar role at Mount Senario College, where he implemented advanced shooting and skill development programs, helped improve the team’s FG and FT percentages, and was instrumental in teaching post moves, shooting form correction, and defensive philosophies.

McKay’s coaching philosophy emphasizes fundamentals, communication, and player development — all while fostering a positive and fun team environment. His strength lies in evaluating individual talent and strategically assigning roles to maximize team potential.

Return to the Game: ABA Coaching

In the 2024-2025 season, McKay re-entered the competitive basketball scene as an Assistant Coach / Player Development Coach for the Windy City Inferno of the American Basketball Association (ABA). Joining mid-season, he immediately began working on refining player skills, developing game strategies, and contributing to the team’s pursuit of excellence.

Isaiah Fleming

High School: Proviso West

Years with Inferno: 2

Isaiah has a tremendous all-around game. In addition to his awesome rebounding skills, he has a deadly mid-range shot and is very quick on his feet during defensive transition.

Reggie “Boogie” Gallion

High School: Leo Catholic

College: Morton College / Chicago State University

Years with Inferno: Rookie

Other than Floyd Battle, no player has known Coach Lollino longer than these former college teammates. Reggie and Floyd both starred for Coach Lollino at Morton College and were part of a 28-game winning streak and an Illinois Skyway Championship. Gallion went on to Chicago State University. Although it says “ROOKIE” in Gallion’s header, he certainly is no rookie to the ABA. In fact, “Boogie” was a major part of last year’s ABA World Champions. When he saw the opportunity to reunite with his college coach, he didn’t think twice. Gallion credits Lollino with showing him how to be a man and developing him into the player he is today. Lollino expects Boogie to be one of his team leaders.

Lavontay Zeigler

High School: Manley

College: Central Lakes Community College

Years with Inferno: Rookie

When Jeremiah Rush suggested Zeigler to Coach Lollino, he immediately was excited about Lavontay joining the Inferno. Zeigler is very athletic, has tremendous leaping ability and can turn a game around in seconds with his explosiveness. This former Manley Wildcat will be entering his rookie season with the Inferno but plays like a seasoned vet.

Dekari Graham

High School: Griffith (IN)

College: Prairie State / Governor State

Years with Inferno: Rookie

Just by chance, Coach Lollino found Dekari at an open gym at Governors State University, where he was a student-athlete. Graham is set to receive his Bachelor’s degree by year’s end. Graham is an awesome ballhandler and very tenacious on defense. Lollino thinks “Dekari was the best catch during the off season and will have a major role with us.”
